Guantanamo: the US finally comes clean

| Disqus Comments
Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell on Salim Hamdan, the first Gitmo inmate to be "tried" by a military tribunal:

"Even if he were acquitted of the charges that are before him, he would still be considered an enemy combatant and therefore would continue to be subjected...to continued detention."

Good luck, Omar Khadr. Evidence in his favour was suppressed; a judge allowing too much disclosure to the defence was replaced; and now, it seems, even a miraculous verdict of not guilty in the face of all that tampering and interference will change nothing in the Land of the Free.

What does Stephen Harper think of this obscene cat-and-mouse game? Why not ask him?
