DAWG News exclusive report.
(Ottawa, November 30 2010) - According to a party insider, the by-election campaign that the Conservatives ran in Vaughn to elect Fantino allowed the war-room to test their template for the next federal election.
When the writ is dropped, all Conservative candidates running for office (and senators) will go into hiding at an undisclosed location.
The media will have party-controlled access to Stephen Harper, and only Stephen Harper at specific photo opportunities, which will all be titled “Prime Minister Stephen Harper meets real Canadians”. No questions will be asked though copious campaign material will be available.
The party insider said that this strategy is founded on the successful branding of Prime Minister Stephen Harper that the Conservatives have accomplished since the election of their first minority government.
