
Current reports:
Journalists have been deliberately targeted by Mubarak’s paid thugs. (The army had to intervene to save Radio-Canada cameraman Sylvain Castonguay from almost certain death at the hands of a pro-Mubarak mob).
Hundreds of people have been injured in Tahrir Square and at least three have been killed as a result of the government-organized violence.
The army is apparently under orders to stay out of it, but this officer is overcome by having to watch as pro-democracy demonstrators are savaged:
