Mark Bourrie and the curious silence of the Speech Warriors™

Deliciously ironic: Big City Lib is all over the story of Mark Bourrie, an Ottawa author who has written a book on censorship, and has now been effectively censored himself by the free speechers at SunTV.

I agree completely with BCL’s conclusion: the whole “free speech” shtick emanating from far-right nutbardom has always been highly suspect—a blind for hate speech against Muslims and gays.

And I’d say our view has been mightily reinforced by the utter absence of comment to date from the Usual Suspects. Come on, Speech Warriors™—nothing to say, after going to the wall for the likes of Bill Whatcott?

What a surprise.
