I saw Martin’s Tweet as it appeared, and reTweeted it right away. You know the one—that colourful 138-character denunciation of the Harper regime’s sixth closure motion in 33 days.
Some illiterate hacks have been calling it a “tirade.” And of course it became the story. Not the fact that Parliament has basically been rendered irrelevant and the whole notion of “responsible government” effectively abolished. That’s too much of a chunk for corporate journamalists to swallow.
Of course, IOKIYAC. And calling opposition MPs traitors? Perfectly within bounds.
