Readers may recall a travesty from last August when a dental surgeon from Camrose, Dr. Simona Tibu, was arrested for speeding, subsequently beaten by an Alberta cop—and then charged with assault on him.

The media have not distinguished themselves in this case. Pictures of the brave fellow’s face were blanked out. And his name—Oscar Rob Behiels—has been withheld. Both omissions are plain wrong. Other accused persons seldom receive this kid-glove treatment.

So I thought I would provide both the name and the pic. Just a little more of that “citizen journalism” the pros sneer at.
