American anti-terrorist hypocrisy and a timely juxtaposition

March 4, 2011: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton calls for the unconditional release of US citizen Alan Gross, presently on trial for espionage.

September 1998 A Cuban group infiltrating Miami-based terrorist organizations is framed for espionage by the US and jailed. The American “war on terror,” as it turns out, is selective: mass murderers like Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles continue to walk free in the streets of Miami.

The men, now known as the “Cuban Five,” remain in prison to this day, despite world-wide outrage. Read what ten Nobel laureates have to say about this travesty of justice.

I won’t be the first, I suspect, to suggest a prisoner exchange. (Well, whaddya know?)
