Conservatism: not a politics...

…a diagnosis.

Right-wing America notes the passing of character actor Andy Griffith, who dared to support “Obamacare”:

Progressive POS. Have fun burning in Hell for eternity. — Red Meat

Good people don’t promote laws that will directly lead to the death of millions, hope someday I get to spit on his grave. — Swampy

So long Andy :) You are a total sell out to this great nation. You are a communist piece of garbage and you will not be missed. — Truthbeliever2

The old bastrd died too soon to reap what he helped sow. I feel cheated that we’ll never get to hear him lament his decision to be a wh0re for the socialist DNC. — Wool-Free Vision

Another dead Democrat…today’s shaping up to be a better day than expected. — teddrunk

Griffith was a total communist and hated this country. He was a bitter resentful person as Libs usually are. He was wasting air that someone else deserved. I won’t miss him in the least. — el_texicano

Good grief, we’re talking about Andy Griffith here!

Doubtless, though, the Usual Suspects will claim that we are just equal but opposite. “You mocked the death of the kindly Andrew Breitbart,” they will shout, beating their hairy-knuckled fists against their barrel chests.

But even a mild and slightly supportive notice of Breitbart’s passing by liberal American journalist Matt Taibbi led to this:

Well done, Breitbart fans, well done! In less than 24 hours you’ve hacked into my Wiki page, published my telephone number on Twitter, called the Rolling Stone offices pretending to be outraged “advertisers” (anonymous ones, who hung up before we could figure out which “ads” to pull), and then spent all night calling and texting my phone with various threats and insults, many of them directed at my family. “Better grow eyes in the back of your head,” was one; “I’m going to take a shit on your mother’s grave,” was another; a third called my wife a “piece of shit like you,” and many others called me a “pile of human excrement.”

Bottom line? We progressives are simply Not Like Them. Our differences are not merely political. We should keep that well in mind, in fact—because if the above is any indication, our lives may depend upon it.
